FAQS
IS SKYDIVING DANGEROUS?
According to French research based on global statistics, the sports considered more dangerous than skydiving are: 1 – Hang gliding; 2 – Mountaineering; 3 – Mountain biking; 4 – Diving; 5 – Motor racing; with skydiving coming even further down, therefore not in the “Top 5”. Skydiving is undoubtedly a risky sport, but this risk is minimized by a series of equipment and attitudes that contribute to making this sport increasingly safe. Nowadays, modern skydiving is extremely safe.
WHAT IF THE PARACHUTE DOESN'T OPEN?
This is usually the question everyone asks when talking about skydiving. However, this is not the real problem for skydivers, as each jump is always carried out with two parachutes: a main one and a reserve one. Parachutes are designed in such a way that they never fail to open unless they are folded incorrectly. In addition, parachutes used in training must have a safety system that makes it impossible to reach the ground without at least one parachute open.
