Take a meaningful journey north from Lisbon to the town of Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world. Fátima became globally renowned in the early 20th century for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Visit the magnificent Basilica of Our Lady of Fátima, completed in 1953, built on the very site where the apparitions were said to have occurred. Inside, you’ll find an elegant white marble interior and the tombs of the three shepherd children who witnessed the events. While at the sanctuary, you are welcome to attend mass or simply take in the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere. Later, we’ll explore other key sites connected to the apparitions, including the location where an angel is said to have appeared, and the site of the fourth apparition of Our Lady. After a day immersed in history, faith, and reflection, we’ll return to Lisbon in the evening.
