Challenging enough to feel active but not exhausting. The circular stones of Almendres felt anciently powerful, and that snack break mid-trail was perfectly timed.

Beautiful trail through varied terrain, culminating in an otherworldly visit to one of Europe’s largest cromlechs. Truly connected me to Portugal’s Neolithic past.

Surprisingly rewarding hike, winding trails through cork and olive groves, a steep beginning but so worth it when you reach the cromlech. Truly felt like stepping back in time.
