The route follows countryside trails through the reserve until reaching the beach, where the landscape opens to stunning views of the river and surrounding nature. For riders with proven experience, trotting and cantering on the beach may be possible. After or before the ride, you can enjoy a tapas tasting with local products and drinks included in our space. Before parting, guests receive a souvenir gift, featuring local biscuits or Alentejo bread toasts, honey or jam, and tea, made with products from our brand Mercearia da Aldeia.

A very enjoyable and unique experience by the coast. Riding along the beach feels peaceful and different from typical horseback activities. The tapas tasting adds a nice local touch and makes the experience feel more complete.

Do I need specific clothing or footwear?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing. The use of flip-flops, high heels, dresses, and skirts is not recommended.
I have no horse-riding experience. Can I still do the ride?
People with no prior experience can take part in the horse-riding tour at Pátio do Tejo. Our horses are calm and well trained, and are used to riding with people who have never ridden before.
Will we be accompanied during the ride?
Yes, the entire ride is accompanied by one or more guides, depending on the number of participants.
